trouble playing videos/download pics to fb using internet explorer

For some reason I'm currently unable to play youtube videos or upload pics to FB without being prompted to download Adobe Flash....which I've done 100 times and it hasn't resolved the issue.  I've uninstalled /reinstalled.......done everything I've read on the web to try..............any other suggestions or tips???/  Now, if I go thru firefox I can  play videos and download pics to fb.  But, I like my explorer b/c everything is set up..........please help!  Kathy B.

    Can you cofirm that all iexplore.exe processes are terminated by using Task Manager? Sometime, you close all IE window, but there's still iexplore.exe processes existing and running. You need to quit those processes first then re-launch the IE to make flash player installation takes effects.

    Yan.Zhou:  I did what you suggested and still doesn't work.  I uninstalled adobe flash player, opened up task manager and stopped everything, and reinstalled adobe and when I try to play a video or upload pics to FB is get a message that I need to install adobe flash player.......after installation it gives me a message is was successfully installed.  This just started a couple days ago.......prior to that everything worked fine.......as far as I know there haven't been any changes to the system. Do you have any other suggestions............now if I go thru firefox, no problems.  I would prefer to use IE and get this adobe working correctly.  Thanks Kathy B.
