Trouble uninstalling flash player activex

We're in the process of removing all vestiges of flash player from our network and have found ~40 devices that have the activex player installed. We don't have easy physical access to these devices so we're trying to push a remote script to remove this plugin from their computers, however in testing I'm finding that the uninstaller.exe file available from Adobe has no effect on this particular plugin, running it with either -uninstall or -uninstall activex doesn't remove the plugin from the computers I've been testing on.

Anyone have any guidance on this?

If these devices are Windows 8.x or Windows 10, Microsoft embeds Flash Player ActiveX Control in IE/Edge browsers and it cannot be uninstalled.  Microsoft will soon be issuing an update to remove the embedded version.  For more information please see https://blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/2020/09/04/update-adobe-flash-end-support/
