Trouble with installing latest Flash Version

Hello All:

Would greatly appreciate any generous and kind help you can provide.

I had a previous version that worked just OK.  Downloaded the latest version 10-ActiveX but when I go to Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs, it is listed but without any size like the other programs???????  Shouldn't it show me the size of the program??????

I have an old computer that uses XP.  The computer has a Gig of memory and it is a Compaq Presario, Pentium 4, 1.6Ghz

After installation I rebooted.  Ran all the video's on NBC News / Nightly News.com

and they ran fine.

Prior to the installation I ran the video on the Web page of Skype regarding Free Video Calls.  It ran kind of jerky and slow so that is when I decided to upgrade the Flash Version but now the Skype video does not run at all?????????????

Please tell me what you think of the above as I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

    Correct answer pwillener

Flash Player is not a standalone program, but a browser plugin, thus it does not show an installed program size in Add/Remove Programs.

If you can see the Flash animation at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and a version information beneath it, then Flash Player is installed and working correctly.
