UNABLE to download adove flash. Have tried EVERYTHING

I have tried everything on the adobe site instructions and have had no luck with my Mac. The flash version I had was outdated and every time I tried to update it it wouldn't finish downloading giving me "installation failed" message.  I then downloaded the option to uninstall the current flash I had and I erased every flash file/plug in/ folder/ in my finder as instructed. I now uninstalled flash and double-checked with the revise option on the site and it is uninstalled. Now I still have the same problem and the updated flash version did not fully download. It is always the same problem "installation failed". Please help I need this fixed for my online courses.

While Apple dropped support for Flash Player in Safari 14, released in Sept 2020, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera are still supported.

Google embeds Flash Player PPAPI plugin in Chrome - if you decide to use Chrome for Flash content, you don't need to install Flash Player separately.

Firefox uses the same NPAPI plugin that Safari used previously.  If you decide to use Firefox for Flash content, you'll need to provide several files troubleshoot the error.  Refer to the FAQ Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on macOS? and provide the install.log and FlashPlayerInstallManager.log files.  You will need to configure your system to obtain the relevant portion of the install.log file and run the installer again.

After obtaining the files, upload them to Document Cloud (see How to share a document) or a file sharing service of your choice that doesn't require account log in to access.

Opera uses the PPAPI plugin that you'll need to install manually. I suspect the installation will give the same error you're currently getting attempting to install the NPAPI plugin.

If it's Safari 14, Flash can't work, give up.
