unable to download or update Adobe Flash

I am unable to download or update Adobe Flash.  I receive this error Adobe Acrobat Reader DC could not open 'AdobeFlashPlayer_22au_a_install-2.dmg' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."  i can't uninstall the program, I also get the same error when trying to uninstall.

I am using an old windows laptop for my kids to register for school.

You ended your first post with "I am using an old windows laptop for my kids to register for school."  therefore the reason I branched it.

please confirm the operating system, including version, and browser you are using.

If you are on a Mac, go to Download Flash Player for use in Acrobat or Reader on Mac OS  to download the OS X version that is supported by Acrobat.

What happens, exactly, when you try to install Flash Player? What error are you getting?  Please post a screenshot of the error.

I branched your post to a new topic.  The OS in the topic you posted to is Mac, not Windows and the topic doesn't seem to be related to your issue.

What program are you referring to in this comment "i can't uninstall the program, I also get the same error when trying to uninstall."

If you're trying to install Flash Player for use in Acrobat, go to Adobe Reader and Acrobat Flash Player Download for Windows  to download the Windows version of Flash Player that is supported by Acrobat.

As far as I know, DMG is an Apple install file, not Windows... so be sure you are downloading a Windows install

I am downloading to my Mac.  Wouldn't I use the one they list for Mac?
