Unable to install ActiveX

I installed Adobe flash player 11.1 but the ActiveX did not install. Says it could not be "registered."  So far no problems with programs requiring Adobe Flash to work.

Using WinXp-Media, IE8 Sp3.

    Thanks for the help...but no luck.  However, Adobe has a new beta Flash Player, (11.2) that was released on the 20th.

    Installed the new version......problem solved.
