Unable to install flash 12 after several attempts, and having uninstalled old version

MacOSX 10.9.1

Installation aborts after progress bar reaches 50% completion.  Following the troubleshooting guide has garnered no furtehr success.  I have tried the installation about five times and each attempt fails at teh 50% completion point.

Flash Player 12.0.0.44 (Max OS X)

Use the offline installer instead of the downoader/installer.
