I'm trying to watch tv online through my xfinity tv account. It's telling me that the flash player is undetected. Everytime I try and download, it says its already pre installed. When I try to enable, it's already enabled.

The error states "

Unsupported Configuration

Some content on XFINITYTV.com is not available for viewing with your current configuration. To view this video using Internet Explorer 10 and Windows 8 please:

If you are viewing this site in Windows 8 Modern Mode, please re-open the page in Desktop Mode where Flash is supported.

If you are already in Desktop Mode, then you may need to download and install the latest Adobe Flash plug-in.

First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:

Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.

Windows 8.1 is a free upgrade and a *much* better experience that Win8.0.  I'd highly recommend that you do that upgrade.  Flash is supported in both Classic and Modern modes of IE on Win8.1.

You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.
