Unsuccessful in removing stored website data or clearing session data

I am stuck.  I've been trying to use the flash player for watching live tv on websites such as CNN.  I selected my TV provider and then I mistakenly signed into an account with that provider and later realized the account does not include access to the desired programming/channel (this is the key step in reproducing the problem) and I should have signed in using a different account that I have.  The interface allows me to select a different provider and start over that way, but does not allow me to get back to the sign in page for the same provider, because authentication data appears to be cached/stored for the first account that I signed in with.

In attempt to resolve the problem, I tried to delete all cached/stored website data in my browser (Chrome) as well as deleting all website storage data within the Flash Player settings panel and also closed/relaunched the browser.  I continue to get the same message, which is something along the lines of "you don't have access to this channel... please check with your provider".  When I try another network, such as NBC, they already have me logged in with the same preferred provider, and do not give me the opportunity to start over with sign in either.  There is some additional authentication data stored somewhere and I can't get rid of it in order to start new again.

I'm going to call this "resolved".  Clearing CNN cookies alone was not enough.  It appears that CNN authenticates the user via Adobe Access Enabler and perhaps additional external files, so clearing all cookies was the best solution without requiring anymore research.  I finally got to the login page for my Provider again.  Thanks for the help.

Yeah, there's a whole complex ecosystem of rights management intermediaries, and it varies by content and cable provider.  You're basically stuck blowing away all of your cookies in that scenario, unless you want to go on a forensics mission.

1.) Try private browsing mode.  If you're not able to authenticate with the correct credentials, you need to have a conversation with your cable provider.

2.) If you're able to authenticate in private browsing mode, but not in regular mode, you'll probably need to clear your browser cookies.  Flash Player will automatically clear it's LSO cache when this happens, but you can go to System Preferences/Control Panel > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All and Deauthorize This Computer to make sure that everything is purged.  At that point, you should be able to log into the services successfully.

Unfortunately, CNN does not work at all in Incognito mode.  See http://go.cnn.com/.   The problem was never with my credentials.  They were accepted the first time I authenticated, but it was with the wrong account.  I clear all CNN cookies and all other browser cache data as well as the Flash Player cache using the instructions you just gave me.  Finally I reopen the browser and CNN still won't go to the sign in page because they still have me authenticated with the wrong account.
