Unwanted Pop-up Ad

I am constantly (three-four times a day) getting a new webpage pop up when I am on my computer that tells me to download Flash Player.  I have Flash Player already in my web browser Chrome.  How can I get this window to quit showing up?

What operating system, including version is this on?

You stated "getting a new webpage pop up"  however, Flash Player update notifications are not webpages.  Please post a screenshot of the pop-up notification.

I'll request more information from you once I find out which OS you are on.

    Hi

I’m using a 2013 MacBook Pro, most recent operating system, Chrome as my web browser. I certainly may have misspoke when I called it a webpage; I’m not really knowledgable about the finer working details of computers in general or the internet specifically. I have two notifications or web pages or whatever that crop up constantly: one is for Flash Player and one is for Chrome. They both appear in a new tab from the one I am actually viewing. I can’t find a way to contact either Adobe or Google Chrome to find out how to end this annoyance.

I will try to remember to take a screenshot the next time either come up; it happens so often I just now automatically close the tab when it pops up. I am responding to your email now, so you know I am appreciative of your help and will forward screen shots as soon as I obtain them. Thanks for trying to help. This is SO annoying.

1st, be sure you have the latest version at Adobe Flash Player Install for all versions

2nd, be aware that some web sites will pop up a false message, to try and get you to go to a link that isn't Adobe

Thanks for answering.  Here's the problem though.  I have Chrome and Chrome says it has Flash Player installed and it automatically updates it as needed.  So the problem isn't that I don't have the latest version installed -- I have.  I went to the home page for Flash Player to check that I do have the most recent version even though Chrome is supposed to update automatically.  Second, I know how false messages can come up but this is constant, at least once an hour no matter where I am on the internet.  Is there any way I can stop this?  I've never had any pop-up ad or false message appear so often and no matter what website I am at.

    Thanks again.

I use Internet Explorer, which also manages Flash, so I just ignore pop up warnings
