update won't load

Getting a bit tired having to enter this problem 3 times. My flash said I needed to update to the latest version, but I updated twice and still got the "out of date" message each time I thought I had accomplished this. According to my files the latest version dates from the 15th of this month. My computer skills are marginal at best and I am using a Mac Mini. Also , every time I try to double click on the installer icon the image dissappears on the first click.
