Updated flash player and had third party programs placed in my browser and on my computer

Has anyone else had these problem of having Space replace Google, a mac cleaning program AND a travel assistance program loaded while updating flash?  This happened to me last night.  I called the number for the mac cleaning program and they said they would need to take control of my computer to remove the program.  Of course, I didn't give it to them. But why does Adobe allow a Flash update to be the lead for other third party developers who just put things on people's computers.  It took me two hours to remove these.

    Hi,

Unfortunately it sounds like you used a non-legitimate Flash Player installer. Legitimate Flash Player installers to not replace Google with Space (not sure what that is), nor install any Mac cleaning or travel assistance programs.

Please, *always* download software directly from the vendor or your operating system's app store.  Don't follow links.  Don't trust po-ups.  If in doubt, open a new window, search for the software if you don't know the website, and find the link on the vendor's site.  Use HTTPS instead of HTTP if you can.

Because Flash Player is installed on such a large number of machines, it's a popular target for impostors.
