Updates over and over

Almost every time I turn on my computer there's a new Flash Player update.  Is there any chance updates could be conslidated or maybe this is a quality issue?  I'm beginning to think the updaes are not installing properly but the "Installed On" date is correct.  Why are these updates so frequent?
