Upgrading 9.0.16 to 9.0.28 difficulties

Presently have Flashplayer 9.0.16.

When I try to download the latest Flashplayer version 9.0.28, after clicking download/install button buttom and de-selecting Yahoo Toolbar it takes me to the next page ( http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/triggerpages_mmcom/flash.html) but NOTHING happens. No gold box at top of screen appears nor does any dialog box appear.

I'm going to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/triggerpages_mmcom/flash.html and its on this page that nothing happens.

How can I update 9.0.16 to the latest 9.0.28?
(Note: Fully patched XP SP2, IE 6 system)

Thanks for your assistance! 🙂

I am having the same issue when I try to download Flash 9. Did you get any resolution?

Try this . It has worked for me and others here. I would uninstall flash as directed by Adobe first as I did though it may install fine. You can refer to a few other threads here about it . It has worked for the 5 or 6 who have said they tried it. Even one that was hesitant with concern that is was a virus. Go to thread " Yea Flash fix, Try this" and read for yourself.

It is a stand alone DL of Flash 9.0.28.0. It is a macromedia.com DL when the security box opens.
