Very high CPU usage on Azubu.tv

Hey!

I am watching a lot of streams ( Twitch.tv, Youtube, Azubu.tv) and I've noticed a very high CPU usage on Azubu.tv especially when running on HD quality. On my laptop this leads to slight stuttering when running HD quality while the cpu(i7 720qm processor,4gb ram,Ati Mobility 4650) is running at 80-90% load. Even on my desktop pc (2500k@4.5ghz,8gb ram, gtx 580), which is fairly high end, it is running at 70% load but there is no stuttering. Compared to other streaming services (Twitch, Youtube) this is way higher load while providing about the same quality. Also on 720 480 and 360 the load is way higher in comparism. Maybe some people can test it for themselves and report their results here.

Or should I contact Azubu.tv directly. I thought since they are using the Flash Player I would try it here first.

    Windows 8.1

Im usually using Chrome but I've tried Firefox and IE and encountered the same issue. Would be great if someone else could test it and report their CPU usage.

Chrome uses its own proprietary plugin ("PepperFlash") and functions independently of any other Flash Plugins you have installed. Chrome is also a major resource hog. It opens a separate process for each tab (and each plugin in that tab) that you open with it. So, if you have three tabs open with Flash, AdBlockPlus, and a YouTube interface changer... you have NINE (9) different processes running, and each one taking up as much processor and RAM by itself as one instance of Firefox with the same tabs and plugins open.

IE uses the AcitveX plugin and it functions independently of any other Flash plugins.

Firefox uses the standard Flash Player plugin.

The only thing they ALL have in common is the Global Settings manager, but it only controls storage, and hardware acceleration.

If other sites aren't causing high system usage, then the issue most likely rests with the site that does cause it. It's highly unlikely that three different plugins for three different browsers all have the same "bug" that would cause this on one site but no others.
