Video Not Work / Play

Hi,I have the latest version of adobe flash player and it works on This Fre Mp3 Song Download Site Name Of [link removed] apart from one site which I like to use all the time. .on this site flash works on every other Video Not Paly When Click player starts to load but I then get a white screen with the message an error occured

Eventually I managed to kind of fix my problem. Finally all flash videos load and play. After some testing of different Firefox versions, only 42.0 is working for me. All versions above that (43.0, 43.0.1, 43.0.2, 43.0.3 and 43.0.4) don't work on my system. Moreover I had to uncheck flash palyer's protected mode.

Despite my "good" luck that doesn't anser the question where is the problem. Is it Firefox or flash the culprit?

I have the same setup on another PC (Windows 10 x64, Firefox 43.0.4 and flash player 20.0.0.268) and I have no such problems. Everything plays like charm.

Protected Mode is an important defense against malware, and you leave yourself a significantly higher risk for infection by leaving it disabled. Details are here: Inside Flash Player Protected Mode for Firefox

One of the things that Protected Mode does, is make sure that Flash is talking directly to Firefox. My guess is that you have something on your system that attempts to shim itself into the communication between Flash and Firefox. One of the things Protected Mode (and presumably the native Firefox NPAPI sandbox in x64 Firefox) attempts to validate, is that we're actually talking directly to Firefox, and not to an intermediary presenting itself as Firefox (which could potentially be malware designed to siphon off all of the data moving between Flash and Firefox, like keystrokes, images, etc).

There is a body of third-party software that engages in this malware-like behavior, but isn't actually malware; however, it will still trigger these defenses. Old copies of RealPlayer with the video downloading functionality operated this way, siphoning off the video stream bits and saving them to a local file. That doesn't work in Protected Mode because we detect that the parent process isn't Firefox, and we exit for your safety. Also, there are some software firewall/security suites that trigger this. Commodo used to come up a lot back in the day. In both cases, I think you'd need to be running a relatively old version to have that problem.

If none of that is ringing a bell for you, you might want to download a reputable anti-virus/anti-malware package and just confirm that something nefarious isn't going on. Microsoft Security Essentials (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download‌) is a free anti-virus, and Malware Bytes https://www.malwarebytes.org/ has a free option and is well-respected.

I did as you suggested. Enabled protected mode and scanned with Malwarebytes. No threads were detected. And that's to be expected. I just recently did a clean install of Win10. After all the problem is still there.

Actually I must say that a lot of websites that have flash content work flawlessly. It's just that there are a number of websites that don't play the videos (endless loading). It's bugging me. I can't understand what's the difference between these sites and all other. Why wouldn't just a bunch of videos load? Again they work only in Firefox 42.0.0 with flash protected mode disabled.

I tried the latest version 44.0.0 but situation is the same.

Actually I did another Win10 reinstall but keeping my files and apps and nothing changed. As a last resort I'm thinking of a new reinstall with a formating to be sure.

I installed x64 beta of Firefox as you suggested. The problem persists. I tried the troubleshooting guide: Akamai HD website loads but video doesn't play at all.

I tried disabling hardware acceleration in flash player settings but it looks like that option cannot be disabled. Every time I reopen the settings, hardware acceleration stays checked. I tried changing the graphics drivers for both my Nvidia card and HD Graphics 3000 but still the same. I tried uninstalling flash with the uninstaller. I delete macromedia folders in AppData\Local and Roaming. In SysWOW64 there is a Macromed folder with some files that don't uninstall. I thought they are part of Edge and IE flash that Windows 10 installs. So I don't delete them. Then reinstalled flash player and the problem is still there. Some flash videos play and many don't.

I have the same problem. I have the latest version of Firefox and Flash player (Windows 10). Some websites load correctly and flsh videos play well. But there are some websites where the flash videos keep on loading endlessly or there is a white screen. I've tried to reinstall flsh player and firefox. I've tried to downgrade both but nothing works. Can anyone help?

If you're using ad-blockers or anti-tracking plugins, you might try disabling them to see if the affected pages start working.

If that's not it, I'd highly recommend the Firefox 64-bit Beta on Win10. Flash works *much* better there for a number of reasons.
