Video play freezes, but continues to download rest of video

So, on every single video, it will stop playing at a random point in the video, and I will not be able to go any further than this point, the video will continue to download the rest of the movie, but i'm stuck at that point !
I have tried running a video just after I ReFormatted my entire PC, it still did this, I wasn't running any programs at the time.
Heres an example,

I can't drag the pointer forward or backward, this happens on all players on all sites.

Any known fixes or possible solutions ( Yes, i've tried un-installing/re-installing )

    Ok, I've fixed the problem.
It seems to be a Graphics/Video-Card problem, make sure your card is running on the right version, the CD-version it came with is best, unless you want it more up-to-date !

    Most people have Nvidia cards

So download the drivers there !

NOTE: Remove the old drivers before installing new ones, PC will run smoother

    I'm also having this problem.

I have the latest flash player, latest driver updates for my graphics card (ATI Sapphire).

Videos on youtube/googlevideo will download load properly, I can see the red bar filling, but stop after two seconds. I can nudge it, but it stops again after 2 seconds.

As a note, I downloaded a video and played it in VLC and it played fine.

The fix did not work for me. I'm still having the same problem. Tried reloading the drivers, but that did not help. I'm running an ATI Radeon 200M, XP Media Center SP2

I have exactly the same problem. At a random point in any video on any website the video will freeze and continue to download. FRUSTRATING. It happens every time. I have a very nice pc as well, Athlon X2, Geforce 7800 gtx, 2 gigs of ram, 150 gigs of hdd. I am running SP2 and have the latest drivers for all devices. Can someone please figure out what the problem with Adobes software is? Or make a recomendation of other software that will play flash without problems?

Interesting. What OS/browsers are we talking about?
Running the latest video drivers for your card?
Cleared temp internet (and temp system) files lately?
    Cleared cache lately?

The sad thing is that while you can find reports of this, not one single support case has made it to my desk. So opening cases is a good thing..

I have flash player 9 running through XP but I have tried Firefox as well with the same results. All videos stop after two seconds play and continue to download. I can move the slider to any point on the bar and will get another 2 seconds and then freeze. Its very annoying any ideas?

I've been experiencing the same problem. Video can stop anytime while playing and the file appears to continue to load to completion. The video can be restarted from the beginning but always stops at the same point. I have seen a few other sites where people have posted this problem, but so far I have yet to see a solution. Help. Very frustrating.
