videos and Yahoo Messenger crashes flash player

I have Windows XP 32 bit... Firefox 9.0.... Yahoo messenger 11... Flash Player 11.1.102.55 (for firefox)

If I am watching videos using Firefox while the video is playing sound stops then a few seconds later the video stops. Once in a while after waiting a few minutes sound will return but usually I have to go to task manager and end plugin_container.exe then reload the page.

When I am using Yahoo Messenger voice feature the sound drops out. Again, sometimes it cycles out and comes back on, but usually I have to close out YahooMessenger.exe to reset flash player

I had read on another fourm to change to the flash player for IE instead of firefox.... that worked for 1 day but the crashes were worse the next day so I went back to the firefox version.

    Right click any video, go to Settings and then in the Display menu, remove the checkmark from "Enable Hardware Acceleration".

    Also, check your Add-ons against this list of problematical extensions: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions

    thanks for your reply.... I looked through your links and followed some of the suggestions. Right now it works most of the time but still drops off and on. Im really not sure how to fix it.... it is better but still annoying.
