Webcam Not Working in Flash on El Capitan

For about a month now I have been trying to go on some sites that require Adobe Flash to work but it does not. I have tried going on to these sites with multiple browsers and it still doesnt work. I have downloaded the latest version of Flash and even downloaded earlier versions and it still has NOT worked. I would really like this resolved as soon as possible.

I am running on a Mac OS X El Capitan version 10.11.3.

The Flash player I have is 20,0,0,294 on chrome.

On the other browsers it is 20,0,0,306 (Safari, Mozilla, etc).

Interesting. Built-in camera. We test that stuff pretty extensively, and we're not getting widespread reports of this, so it seems like it's unique to your machine. The apple troubleshooting guides didn't provide much of interest.

If you haven't rebooted since you started experiencing these symptoms, I'd start there. Actually shut the machine down (cold boot), give it a few seconds so that all of the hardware fully discharges and then fire it back up again. At minimum, we know we're working with a good baseline at that point.

If the problem persists, let's just uninstall and reinstall Flash completely. That was basically Apple's recommendation for similarly affected applications. I'll be a little surprised if this fixes you, but it's worth trying. It's possible that Flash is corrpupted on disk somehow.

Flash doesn't do anything fancy here. We ask the system to enumerate the available webcams. If we're not seeing it, the OS generally isn't telling us about it.

Hopefully this gets you going. If not, can you give me the information from the first page of that system report (Apple > About > System Report > Hardware Overview) so that I can go find an identical machine?

I tried doing everything even shut down after I uninstalled and installed Chrome but it didn't work. I even installed Flash and tried on another browser. Then downloaded

Hi,

20.0.0.294 was a beta version released about a month ago and would not have been embedded in Chrome by Google (Google embeds Flash Player in Chrome), as such, I'm assuming you installed this version and are using it, instead of the version Google embeds. If so, you'll need to uninstall this and ensure Chrome updates to 20.0.0.306, which is the current supported version of Flash Player for all supported browsers on supported OS X versions (see Adobe - Flash Player for latest Flash Player version).

Okay so I reinstalled it, it worked for a few days and then stopped working...

What did you re-install? Chrome of Flash Player?

How are you launching Chrome?

Please do the following:

In the address field type: chrome://plugins
When the plugins page displays, click on +Details in the upper-right corner
scroll down until you see Flash Player
take, and post, a screenshot (see How to post a screenshot in the forum) of the Flash Player details. It should look similar to:
