Websites not recognizing upgraded Flash Player

Since the problem you're having is distinct from the problem described in the thread you were posting in, I've branched your comment into a new discussion so that we can better provide you with advice, without convoluting the other discussion.

If you haven't rebooted yet, that's a great place to start.  At minimum, it will eliminate a bunch of potential roadblocks for other steps.

Collecting and posting the logs would help us improve the product, and the links to the offline installers at the bottom of the guide should get you going.
