What is so hard about providing a direct download link?

Absolutely fed up.

Literally every other software supplier give you a direct download link. No stupid logins, no finding your way through a myriad of pages, no ridiculous form to complete.

I regularly download Java, Firefox, Chrome and others to keep my network fully patched. Why am I always fighting with Adobe?

The distribution3 page was ideal, why would you antagonise people and remove it?
It's bad enough your products are so poor I need to patch them urgently, it's entirely the epitome of poor taste that you force Techies like me to waste time finding them too. I have filled out the stupid form at least 10 times in the past, why do I need to do it again?

I haven't received any email confirmation either - I guess your email functionality works as well as your Flash product.

*IT should be easy for end-users and if it's not, we're all missing the point*

Listen to your users for a change, provide a direct link.

Adobe is absolutely ridiculous.  You offer a runtime environment to the general public for free so your paid customers have a platform to build off of.  For some unknown reason it can't just be a normal installer, it has to be proprietary. To actually get a distributable version of the runtime installer, you have to go through the trouble of signing up for an account. And even after this you have to keep reapplying for a "license" to distribute? In the meantime, we get nagged for different NYB personal information in order to maintain the account. On top of that, Flash is so insecure that you release an updated version every other week.  Great plan! I'm glad Flash is on its way out! What a relief!

    Thanks for feedback.

Not sure what you mean by "And even after this you have to keep reapplying for a "license" to distribute?"  Flash distribution license is valid for 1 year.  If you are applying more often there is either something wrong with the system, in which case we'd like to investigate, or a misunderstanding on the Runtime license availability/agreement.

Thanks for your feedback, and we understand your frustration.  Unfortunately, those links were being abused in an egregious way, and as a result, they now require proof of a valid license to access.  We understand that those additional steps are well, additional steps and therefore more work for already busy administrators.  For what it's worth, we actually invest heavily in features and work to reduce the headache of managing large Flash installations, and forego the distribution revenue we'd otherwise see from users in those environments.

If maintaining a valid distribution license and authenticating against the download system is too onerous an undertaking for your organization, you have a couple options:

    • Standardize your organization on a browser that includes Flash Player as a built-in component, like Internet Explorer and Edge on Windows 8.1 and higher, or Google Chrome for all major desktop operating systems.  At that point, you can use Windows Update or Chrome's update to keep your clients updated, without interacting with Adobe directly.

    • Stop licensing and distributing Flash Player inside your organization, and/or allow your users to download the Flash Player installer(s) directly from Adobe through our standard distribution channels as needed.

While I understand that these options may not be immediately available or practical for your organization, hopefully they provide some options and context for the benefits you're receiving through the free licensing and distribution services that we offer to make the task of administering Flash installations in your organization easier.

    Hi,

Generally you get an email from noreply@adobe.com within 48 hours of applying for the license but sometimes it is blocked by user's spam filters. Please check your spam folder to see if the email is there. Also can you private message the email-id used for lincense application so that we can follow up with the licensing team.

    Thanks!

    Hi Stuart,

I checked with the licensing team, you had applied for the license only once and it was approved on 10/4/16. You would have again received an approval email yesterday. Please check the same and let us know if you face any other issues.

    Thanks!
