what is the latest version of flash i can run on mac os x 10.6 and 10.8?

on os x 10.6, i'm using an archived version of chrome, with built-in flash, but when i load a flash site, chrome often freezes.

so i'm going to look for a better browser. (if you can recommend one, please do!)

for flash, i downloaded the version:

10.3.183.90

but many sites block it because it's outdated.

so what is the latest version i could run on os x 10.6?

also, is it the same for os x10.8? (i'm thinking of getting 10.8 UNofficially.)

    Hi,

Mac OS 10.6 or 10.8 are no longer supported, see Tech specs | Adobe Flash Player for currently supported operating systems and browsers. You can install  Flash Player from Adobe Flash Player Install for all versions. In Step 1, select MacOS, In Step 2, select the browser you wish to install Flash Player for.

    Thanks!

you guys keep telling me that, but with that method, i can only select "above os x 10.10" for Mac.

So for 10.6, i go to the link at the bottom, that says "If your operating system/browser combination is not displayed, refer to the Archived Flash Player versions page."

    Right?

AND THEN, what version of flash do I select? I want the highest version which 10.6 can take.

    Hi,

You can Select "Mac 10.10 and above" and download the installer and install it on your system. We do not recommend to use Flash Player from Archived version.

    Thanks!
