Question

What should I do- the local storage pop-up has made my flash player inaccessible.

Whenever I try to access my flash player for games on say, facebook, the local storage pop-up comes up, but it appears frozen because I cannot press any of the buttons on it. I can also not press any buttons in the actual game. If I right click, I can get the settings pop-up to replace the local storage one, but everything is still unresponsive. I have tried reinstalling Flash many times, but this problem continues. I don't know what to do. Please help!

Heads up to anyone else with this issue, I found a vaguely related thread that sorted it for me.

Re: Flash player settings manager inaccessibility

That is quite incredible that the controls are out there at a web address. Who knew? I have spent hours and hours trying find a way to rid myself of an unresponsive popup killing all my videos. For any other lost souls who show up here, the web page is currently  http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/se ttings_manager03.html  . In case it moves, I found it by following the op's instruction to google "flash cookies" (without quotes).  That's like having to go into town to adjust your household thermostat.

I adjusted the settings there (deleted all sites, set Global Storage Settings and Website Storage Settings to 100kb) and it seems to have done the trick.

Is this any way to run a ballroom?

    What is your operating system?

    What is your web browser?

What is your Flash Player version?

I have the exact same problem and it's infuriating me!  Running Win7,  Firefox, and using Swiff Player (most recent update on all, including Adobe flash player) and have yet to find an answer to this  bug!  The worst thing is, it doesn't happen on all .swf files either  (flash games), only on some of them!

I now have this issue. Local Storage Settings Popup is frozen, I cannot click any buttons or dismiss the popup. Also the controls for the content (video) under the popup are frozen. See pic; the dialogue says the site is requesting 10kb local storage, currently using 9. Mac OSX 10.6.8, Flash 11,0,1,152, Firefox 3.6.16.  I read elsewhere maybe repair disk permissions and indeed had the longest list of repairs I've ever seen, but it didn't do it. I did notice an unusual file though, decryptedFile.dmg which when opened reveals the Flash installer. It occurred to me that perhaps I was running Flash from the disk image and ran the installer again, still no joy. Please, what's going on? How do I regain control and set this popup not to reappear?
