I'm using firefox on Windows 8 x64 and even after the updates i can't watch a video without going nuts! IMDB trailers no longer work without freezing my browsers, youtube videos won't allow to change quality without freezing or stutering as hell, so WHAT THE HELL ADOBE!??

Thanks but I am running Firefox and I believe that is one of the problems, one thing that is interesting though, my wife has exactly the same setup as myself but hers is 32bit and she has never had a problem. I have now gone back to Flash Player version 10.3 and it is perfect, so I'll wait and see how things progress, have to admit i have never had a problem with FP before on any system

I have the same setup, I can play any video on any site except for IMDB and this only started after I installed Windows 8 64bit, every bit of software on my PC was on it before with Windows 7 and no problem, Windows 8 was a completely fresh install on a new hard drive. Any answers anyone

@r0ximus - This faq might help: How do I install Flash Player on Windows 8?

I would recommend going through the troubleshooting steps outlined in this FAQ:

How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?

For what its worth, I'm running Win 8, Firefox 17 and Flash Player 11.5 and having no problems playing this video and switching between 420, 720 and 1080p video modes.

If I go to Mozilla support/forum page and search 'Windows 8' there are many issues listed there:

    http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/search?esab=a&q=windows+8

There might be some information about a workaround in FF option setting there. I personally don't have any info specific for Windows 8 + FireFox + Flash Player compatibility issue but it I hear something, I'll bring it here. Meanwhile please try to use other browsers to see if same issue can be seen.

    thanks,
