when i try to install flash player it says i can't because it has a virus

so after i hit run to install flash player it says install_flashplayer11x32ax_chrd_awa_aih.exe contained a virus and was deleted

Hi Randy,

So, you either downloaded a malicious flash player and Windows Defender blocked it, or your computer is infected with the Sirefef malware which displays the same massage, see this: http://deletemalware.blogspot.com/2013/05/file-contained-virus-and-was-deleted.html

I suspect the Sirefef malware. Run a malware scan with anti-malware software in Safe Mode.
