Where can I find a simple solution to the Flash crash on FF on W8 64 bit.

Windows 8 64 bit, latest Flash, Firefox 23.0.1, crashes every time with a message about script. This seems to be a frequent problem in the communities, but I can find no simple solution that does not require me to be a geek. Flash has worked before on this set-up. Why doesn't it work now? It also works fine on FF on my Mac Mountain Lion.
