Question

White box with red x in place of all videos

I am running windows xp - 32 bit,  I have installed the latest version of Flash. [ and reinstalled it multiple times]   I updated the display drivers, Nvidia and also updated my version of Java.    I can not get videos to open -- I receive a white box with a red x for videos -- doesn't matter as to type of site I am accessing.   The same results occur in IE 8, Chrome and msn-explorer.   I have Norton 360 on my system.

I checked the add-ins and  Adobe Shockwave is enabled.

When I go to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/   the area where the shockwave moving image should appear is completly black.  When I go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/  sometimes I see the "Version Information" details  and sometimes this does not display.   Even if it displays I still can not see videos.

Right clicking  in area where video is to display, indicates Flash version that I am running.

I have tried everything I can think of to resolve this issue and have not been successful.    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

The first link you noted is not for Flash Player but second link is. It's wired that sometimes you see version info but sometimes it's not.

Can you post screenshot for your problem including link to the video?
