Why are you blocking Flash, why can't you just still allow people to run Flash but not update it?

DO NOT BLOCK FLASH. JUST DON'T UPDATE FLASH AND KEEP THE LAST VERSION OF FLASH ONLINE FOREVER SO PEOPLE CAN STILL ACCESS OLDER GAMES, AND OTHER CONTENT THAT USES FLASH. You don't have to support Flash, but why can't you just not support Flash anymore, but still allow people to download Flash and access Flash content even after janaury 12 2021 forever? But not update it, like now. You no longer support Flash, but people can still access Flash content, and download the last version of Flash forever. Why must you change anything? Just keep Flash online, DO NOT BLOCK IT. What purpose does it serve to block the content? You just have to do extra work to prevent people from accessing Flash. If Flash isn't safe, it's people's choice to use it or not. Some people like Flash games and Flash content. You are removing lots of content online. I like looking at older content online, it's like the internet can be a time machine, you can see what it was actually like in the past when you access older content, the Flash games kind of reflect the culture that created them back then. What's the use of getting rid of Flash? Just keep the last version released online, and don't update it, unless you decide you want to update Flash.

Because Adobe are a bunch of A - holes who want people to use new products, it does not matter to them that these flash games cannot be re-made as the original authors have passed on, et cetera... if they really wished to they could create a flash browser that could be used only for gaming and nothing else that was heavily locked down to cover any security vulnerabilities.  But as this would cost time and money they cannot be stuffed.

Why don't you ask Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook and the various browser makers why they stopped supporting Flash Player?

And while you're at it, ask the content developers who had 3 years to prepare for this why they didn't rebuild their projects without Flash.

Time to find other interests. There are plenty of HTML5 games online.

Flash is going away because of the security risk, which will now get worse and worse. People don't understand, or might decide to take the risk. So I agree 100% that it has to be completely closed down, gone and not available. Because people are the first to complain if their bank accounts are emptied.
