Why can't I download FlashPlayer onto my MacOSX10.8.6? Adobe won't accept my password and it's impossible to change it through the Adobe system!

I've tried a million times to download the most recent version of Adobe FlashPlayer onto my MacOSX10.6.8.  Adobe won't accept my password - and it's system for changing passwords goes no where.  This is Kafka-esque!!!

Apple computers ask for your System Password when installing new software. It's probably nothing to do with Adobe at all.

Try the system password you used when you first set up your Mac.

NO PASSWORD NECESSARY.   WHEN REQUEST POPS UP,  PRESS RETURN/ENTER KEY TO BYPASS IT

AND CONTINUE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THERE.

Thank you, Constanza, for your input.  However the situation has mysteriously righted itself and I can now get the audio of Radio France via Yahoo that I needed Flash Player for.  Jane

Adobe does not require passwords for downloading/installing the Flash Player.  It will be something related to your machine's security.

Yes, I've been told to use my Apple password, but that doesn't work either.

I tried that already, based on input from Adobe people. It didn't work either.
