Why do I have to keep installing flashplayer?

I am having trouble with flashplayer.  I download an update to my computer to view a video on youtube or play a game on pogo.  After I log out of a game and go back to play again it says I have to update flashplayer again.  I have downloaded it about 6 times now.  What is the problem?
