Why does Adobe, like Oracle, insist on trying to install unwanted software during updates ?

Why does Adobe, like Oracle, insist on trying to install unwanted software during updates ?

These are pervasive and necessary tools for the internet 'experience'.  They are crossing a line and mistreating ordinary, trusting users who have no choice but to use these products to do business with third parties.
