Why doesn't my Flash Player/Shockwave Flash allow me to watch live stream news sites?

I am using windows 7 ultimate sp1 64-bit on Firefox. When I test Adobe Shockwave, I get the message: "This Plugin Is Disabled." But when I click "Manage Plugins", my Shockwave Flash Plugin is set to "Always Activate".

I have tried a Clean Install more than once and still have the same problem.

Please advise.

It would be useful to know if you have the same problem with Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.

If not, something is probably wonky with your Firefox profile.

You can test that theory by creating a clean Firefox profile by following the instructions here:

Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles | Firefox Help

At that point you may need to install Flash Player again. Be sure to use Firefox when downloading Flash Player, from here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer -- we deliver the payload for the browser you visit with.

If you're still stuck, to to Firefox > Help > Restart with Add-Ons disabled.

If Flash starts working, you've got a third-party plugin that's preventing Flash content from loading. Ad-blockers, privacy plugins, software firewalls, javascript blockers are all frequent causes of issues in this category.
