Why won't my Adobe ID work for installing Adobe Flash?

When I try and install flash player, a box pops up and asks for me ID and password. I type in my Adobe ID and password, and it says its incorrect.

Even If I click on download Flash, while I am signed in to Adobe.com it says its incorrect.

Can anyone help?

You don't need and Adobe ID to download or install Flash Player.

You will need your computer's Administrator ID & password to install system software.

Hello,

You're Adobe password is used for the Adobe website (e.g. these forums) and other Adobe software  you may have (e.g. Creative Cloud).  However, whenever you install any software on Mac you are prompted to provide the computer Administrator's ID and password.  This is not just for when installing Flash Player.
