Win10 FlashPlayer Not working

Flash Player stopped working in both Edge and IE, Flash Player had been giving intermittent problems since before original Win 10 upgrade a couple years ago, had been hoping Win 10 would fix problem.   Of course still neither adobe or Microsoft websites allow for a flashplayer manual update or install into Win 10.  Had tried all the normal things, cleared caches, ensured enabled in both browsers, etc.  Deinstalled and reinstalled video card drivers also.  Finally de-installed Flash Player making sure system32 and syswow64 flash folders deleted and Flash Player gone from control panel, then to reinstall Flash Player did a complete Win 10 reinstall.  Checked is enabled both Edge and IE again.  Had no effect, every site with flash content says Flashplayer not installed.  Running Win10 Pro 64-bit on Alienware 3D i7 CPU with NVidia graphics card, all else works well.  Web search indicates widespread Win10 - Flashplayer problems, Adobe appears to not be supporting since Microsoft incorporated into Win10, Microsoft doing nothing to support either, so consumers caught in the middle with many websites not usable.

If you just needed to vent, that's cool.  In order to give you any useful advice, I'm going to need a clear, specific descriptions of the problem that you're experiencing.  Taking them one at a time would also be useful.

Flash Player is a built-in component of Internet Explorer and Edge on Windows 10, so we don't have the ability to perform an installation.  It *has* to be distributed directly by Microsoft in Windows 8 and higher, per their requirements.

We actually have an entire team dedicated to supporting Win10.  I talk to the Edge team at Microsoft on a weekly basis, but there's nothing actionable that I could take up with them based on the information you've provided.

Here's my generic advice about Win10 and Edge.  My guess is that it stands in the majority of the scenarios you describe; however, without actionable specifics, I can't even try to go look at it.

First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:

Internet Explorer 11 and Edge introduce a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.

You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

Thank you for taking the time to try and assist.  Disabling ActiveX controls as you suggested did get flashplayer working using "open this page in IE".  However, isn't a viable solution for me, not only did the flashplayer content run slowly even on this very high-end i7 Alienware on an as measured 67mbps connection but I wouldn't leave ActiveX filtering turned off  so nuisance to turn on for specific sites as I come across them and nuisance to open page in IE.  installing Chrome not an option either as although I'm retired I still do some healthcare consulting and Chrome installation interferes with many healthcare systems older Legacy software.  Really need it working in Edge which I personally prefer anyway.
I don't think my particular issue has anything to do with provider content as 1) flashplayer used to work most of time on any site, now does not work on any site whatsoever including Adobe's own test page (no moving clouds, don't even see the tree).  All I get on any site is that flashplayer needs to be installed, usually with link to adobe install page which of course leads to Adobe page recognizing that I'm running W10.  Java/drivers/W10, everything else, is most up to date version.  Everything else has always run fine, lightening fast, and I only resorted to reinstall flashplayer deinstall and reinstall of W10 when flashplayer permanently stopped working.  Actually wish I hadn't tried this desperate step as now is task Manager shows an extra version of Edge is running when I open browser. Only other clue I can think of is prior to W10 reinstall I came across some flashplayer error msgs, something to the effect "can't write to folder" or 'couldn't create file.  Think I saw these in some event viewer log, not positive, but were definitely tied to flashplayer with exact times tied to trying to view flashplayer content.  I've just now tried finding those msgs to give you exact verbiage but cannot locate any such msgs.  Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
