Windows 7 Desktop Applications complain that Flash Player is not installed

I have the same question.

Firstly: Win7 x64 and Firefox. On the latest Firefox adobe Flash is playing OK.

However, and although it shows as installed on the "Programs and Features" window, my programs using Adobe Flash Player keep on showing "Flash Player is not installed on your system."

Programs are Swiff Player and iWisoft Flash SWF to video converter. Both have their latest version installed.

I need to convert some x.swf files to mp4 or other video format.
