Windows 7 Flash player freezing and crashing

Much like a number of others, I'm having issues with Flash freezing and crashing.  I am on Windows 7 and this happens in both Firefox and IE.

I am using version 19.0.0.185

I have cleared cache and data settings with no luck.  I have to usually manually end the plug-in container process in order to be able to do anything for more than a minute or two. Even then, it crashes every 5-10 minutes.
