Windows Vista: unable to locate flash installer exe after downloading

When downloading  Flash Player I'm asked on step 2 of 3 to find the file install_flashplayer.exe in downloads folder.  I don't know where to find this in Windows Vista.  I tried downloads folder and documents folder.  I'd just like to have Flash Player downloaded please.  Help is appreciated.

Check in the browser's settings what the file download directory location is.  Usually, it's the Downloads directory, but since you indicate the file is not in the Downloads directory, it sounds like the file download location has been changed to something else.
