Hi,
I've downloaded install_flash_player.exe from this page http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform=Win32&P3_Browser_Version=Netscape6 as I want to install flashplayer 9.0.28 on firefox and seamonkey. I currently have 9.0.16 on them.
When I double click on the installer nothing happens!
I can only see a small window with a progress bar for a fraction of a second and 3 files in the TEMP directory.
But then...nothing.
What's wrong?

thanks

EDIT:
Sorry for the double post but the connection timed out. Any way to delete it?

    Oidocrop has found the problem.
Oidocrop has both firefox and seamonkey (zip version, so oidocrop can unzip it wherever oidocrop wants).
The installer doesn't search for seamonkey, but it finds firefox so it installs the plugin for it and then exits.
As it finds firefox it will never ask for a folder to install the plugin, so the only way is to copy it from firefox plugins dir.

This is what the installer should do
    -search for seamonkey (?)
-give an option to choose automatic/manual installation (on windows oidocrop wants just 1 dll in "%appdata%\mozilla\plugins" and not a copy of the dll for every browser)
    - give an option to see the installation details or at least a way to have it running verbosely
    - never ever exit silently, even on success

Is it good for mozilla, firefox, seamonkey too? (don't believe so)
Does an fp uninstaller for gecko browsers exist? (don't believe so)
Isn't the !msie installer only supposed to ask where the browser plugins directory is and copy some file in there? (pretty sure)

Go to thread "Yea! Flash fix, try this. HAs worked for me 5 or 6 so far here. It has a standalone DL for Flash 9.0.28.0. Read the thread for yourself. I would uninstall flash as adobe usually suggests first, but it may DL fine. The fix opens a security that IDs the DL as a macromedia.com file. A few other threads also have post that this works.
