You Tube not seeing Flash Player

Question

I'm in Windows 7 Pro, Service Pack 1, Internet Explorer V. 11.0.9600, Flash Player V. 22, Kaspersky Total Security and Kasperski Secure Connection. When I click a video on You Tube or a link to one in Internet Explorer (default browser), I get a window with a red banner at the top which says I need Flash Player.

I have clicked the link and downloaded it but it didn't make a difference. I have deleted the programs from Control Panel / Programs and Features and re-installed from the Adobe site in IE. In researching this I see there are different versions of Flash Player for different browsers so I thought I'd see whether the problem was the same -- not expecting it to work because I had uninstalled both versions of Flash Player. Lo and behold the videos show up fine in Firefox and Chrome, just not IE. Any thoughts?

The Flash Player Uninstaller is going to uninstall all copies of Flash Player from your system.

If you used a single browser (like Firefox) to download the Flash Player installer, you probably have the NPAPI Flash Player for Firefox installed, but you're missing the ActiveX flavor of Flash Player required for Internet Explorer.

To reinstall the ActiveX Flash Player, use Internet Explorer, and go here:
