Youtube videos have stopped working. Just get a black box. Right click on black space and indicates that video is not downloaded. Using Windows Vista 32 bit, IE8 and have latest version flashplayer and Adobe site says installed successfully. Shockwave Flash object is enabled. Was working fine yesterday before update. Any help? I see others seem to be experiencing this too.

Hi, Yes they have made a change. In that post I copied and pasted hurriedly:-) They changed their Players and the Search engines are full of this and everyone is having the same issue. It already worked for allusernamestaken on the Flash Player Forum a few minutes ago.

    Thanks,

Hi again, FWIW from Firefox 3 months ago!! Is that when FF 5.0 came out? I heard it was just a Security release for all intents and purposes. They released vs 5.0 instead of updaing the latest 4.+. I don't know if you have FF, but in case you ever do:-)

Ok, here is what I found:

YouTube just updated their video player, so the old version could still be cached in your browser causing it to fail. I would suggest rebooting, and if that's already done then make sure your drivers are up to date.

If that does not work make sure you download the new version of flash.  Posted3 hours ago
No, I had the exact same problem but it worked the second I cleared my internet cache which could have to do with what another user above said about that.

Go to tools, options, clear recent history, and only check the 'cache' option, clear now, okay, and then refresh or exit it and open it again. I didn't even have to restart my browser. I'm using firefox too, by the way. Good luck! I hope this helped!  Posted 2 hours ago
Let me know if that is the issue. I'm not done searching, but that's what I found so far.

Hi, Well, I don't see any common thread except youtube. They must have made a change. I just finished 3 threads within the last 15 minutes reporting the same issue as you.

allusernamestaken, pbsalexis and john9743. Take a look at either thread. I'll get back to you in a couple of minutes. I'm trying to get to youtube to see what has changed.

    Thanks,
