Async datapoint function in theories

I have a situation where I'd like my theory's datapoint function to return the results of an asynchronous call. My datapoints needs to be generated externally. Is this something that may be supported at some point in the future? Any thoughts on what that might look like?

Yep, it will likely be sooner rather than later. I would guess in the next month or two.

The actual datapoint will be marked async but I haven't yet defined the interface on notifying the framework of completion yet.
