Hi,
just wanted to know if the Flex team is developing or planned to develop the following functionality for Gumbo:
* Combo Box: I know I can use the Halo version, but I need one with support for RTL text

* Grid layout
* Flow layout

Bye,

Flow is unlikely for now, sorry. Timeframe for starting is I believe December. But these things change.<br /><br /><br />On 10/23/08 9:39 AM, "Haykel Ben Jemia" <member@adobeforums.com> wrote:<br /><br />A new message was posted by Haykel Ben Jemia in<br /><br />Developers --<br /> ComboBox and other layouts for Gumbo<br /><br />"...all components whether Halo or Gumbo will support BiDi (hopefully)"<br />Wow! For the grid, I agree it shouldn't be very hard to implement with the new components.

What about a flow layout? Any hints?

I'd just like to chip in that I know plan was to ditch it in Fx3, but I use Grid all the time. Sometimes you just want a nice pretty list of things without having to customise one of the List containers or DataGrid just to turn off a bunch of stuff you don't need, and create custom renderers, etc.
