Display nonprinting characters

Hi All,

I want to display nonprinting characters (tab, enter, space) in TLF as it is in Word or other text editors.

I guess there's no built-in feature to toggle between "dispay/do-not-display nonprinting characters" mode.

Did anyone try to implement this? Any hints on how to do it better?

Regards,

Alexander

I think it will need much effort to implement such a feature. You must record the bounds of nonprinting characters in composing process and draw them by yourself, because the positions of them are changed dynamically when you edit, scroll or resize the text. You can refer to the implementation of selection and background drawing (background of span is based on TextLines on the stage, but there is no beginning or tailing spaces inside the Textlines...). That is to say, you must extends core classes of TLF or rewrite them.
