Question

does anyone know if the last OS X update for java can cause problem compiling the SDK ?

Hi all,

the update says
"This Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 1 adds Java SE 6 version 1.6.0_05
to your Mac.
This update does not replace the existing installation of J2SE 5.0 or
change the default version of Java."

just checking if maybe someone had problem with that before updating
if nobody know for sure I'll test that in a separate dmg boot and can
give feedback

cheers,
zwetan

It shouldn't break the compiler, but it might break Flex Builder because they did not port SWT to Cocoa and that is all that Java 1.6 supports on the Mac. So make sure you keep 1.5 around and you may need to have your FB explicitly use 1.5.

Matt

On 5/8/08 6:07 AM, "zwetan" <member@adobeforums.com> wrote:

A new discussion was started by zwetan in

Developers --
does anyone know if the last OS X update for java can cause problem compiling the SDK ?

Hi all,

the update says
"This Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 1 adds Java SE 6 version 1.6.0_05
to your Mac.
This update does not replace the existing installation of J2SE 5.0 or
change the default version of Java."

just checking if maybe someone had problem with that before updating
if nobody know for sure I'll test that in a separate dmg boot and can
give feedback

cheers,
zwetan

------------------------------------------------------
View/reply at
Replies by email are OK.
Use the unsubscribe form at to cancel your email subscription.
