Flex 4: Nightly or Milestone?

Hi all,

I was wondering what would be a better build of Flex to start with. Milestone 2 or a recent nightly build? If the latter, which one in particular? Are they all stable builds? Thanks.

All the builds work fine because everyone has to run a suite of tests before they commit changes to the trunk.  Feel free to create a sandbox or just use nightly builds or the svn, they all work.  They're not going to say they're "stable" though, because they're always adding and modifying this and that, but they still always work.

Best,

Lol, using the nightly is more fun, life on the edge!

The only think to be aware of, like Lance says, is sometimes your first task in the morning will be the odd name change or a little refactoring. Just keep an eye on the wiki for changes. And read all the commit notes and all will be well

We've been developing from the trunk for months and do a new SDK build 8am every morning (uk time) by which time the days changes are all in there. It's been interesting and also keep you close to the source and the new developments in the SDK. I think it keeps you close to the code which a reason in its self to use the trunk. You have to notice changes so it makes sure you keep up with whats happening.

Anyway good luck

we're coming close to api freeze soon too so changes should be settling significantly.
