Hi,

When i use RichTextEditor and the other component for writting a text in Hindi.

I am not able to write a text in Hindi in the running application.

I am able to do copy and paste but not able to do directly from the keyboard.

Other than Hindi i am able to write a text in every language.

As for example -

There is two textBoxes - one for username and other for password.

Now i want to enter my username and password in hindi. I can do copy and paste but not able to enter in Hindi.

Please help me out, is it possible with this framework.

Or Flex doesnt support Hindi text.

Thanks

Hi Monika,

I have got one solution for this problem.

Upgrade your flash player to Ver 10,1,53,60 RC. Download it from here. http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplayer10/

After updating you will be able to type in hindi (or any other language) directly in any flash/flex component using your language bar....

But this works only in Google Chrome browser. This is still not working in IE or firefox and I don't know why?

You will need to embed the font and then use that font ... try it here and see http://apps.live-documents.com/docs/openWebDoc.do?docId=1480607

Typing in Hindi works with my test systems.

Can you give us more details on your setup? What operating system, what input method, what font...
