Question

Source code scouring for Flex? (like FXCop)?

Hi,

What would be really great for Flex developers is a source code checker for Flex. Something like Microsoft FXCop:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb429476(VS.80).aspx

It helps developers check that the source code conforms to the standards.

Something like it for Flex would help meet the requirements of the open source SDK, as well as help developers meet the coding standards in their own projects.

Anyone working on such a thing? This would AWESOME for Flex Builder 4 (hint! hint! hint!)!

Thanks,
K___H

Yes, we've heard this request in the past. With the open source compiler it should be doable to write something like from a command-line, then I'd imagine it could be integrated into FB pretty easily. It's not something we have planned in the short-term, though I know of folks who have implemented subsets of this kind of functionality.

Matt
