special characters when direction is "rtl"

Is there a way (style, property, etc.) to define which characters will flip when setting a TextFlow's direction to "rtl"?  For example, can I remove the period and/or the colon from this character set, or can I add some other character?  Seems like an easy answer (whether yes or no); I just couldn't find any information on this.
