Question

Tamarin and Apache Flex Compiler (Falcon)

I'm trying to build the obsolete project Tamarin. Here is the Mozilla archive:

Tamarin - Archive of obsolete content | MDN

and build instructions:

Tamarin build documentation - Archive of obsolete content | MDN

I need to check out the actionscript compiler and I tried, but get a authentication error with:

svn co http://opensource.adobe.com/svn/open...box/asc-redux/ asc

I used to work for Adobe in 2006 and no I'm not lying. Can I sign up for svn acccess? A public account?

Also I am interested in the Flex compiler or Falcon. Any information about Tamarin and Falcon would be greatly appreciated. I know Falcon is on github.

My personal goal would be to maybe sometime have a browser with a only actionscript built into the browser. Like JavaScript is now. something like SpiderMonkey.

If you need the Tamarin project "as is" it has been moved to github and renamed "avmplus"

GitHub - adobe/avmplus: Source code for the Actionscript virtual machine

For ASC, yep the svn and ftp are no more available, I keep a copy of asc.jar (compatible with tamarin) here

redtamarin/asc.jar at master · Corsaair/redtamarin · GitHub

you can off course check out redtamarin
it's like tamarin/avmplus but with much more native libraries
and the compilation instructions are up to date
