Timeout using Spark TextArea while setting text value

Hi all,

I put a sample of the bug on http://knux4.biki.fr/bronx/TextAreaBug.fxp

With this text, the application goes in an infinite loop and doesn't display any content. I'm using Flex 4.6. The bug also occurs in a Web based application.

I saw that the cause can be the fact the TextArea has a fixed width...

Does anyone knows a workaround for this ? I didn't find bug report on this subject so I think I will create one...

I didn't look at the test case, but there are other bugs like this reported against TextArea. Usually, fixing the width of the TextArea or the internal RichTextEditor will solve the problem. For futher assistance, please use the Adobe Flex forum.

In my case, setting verticalScrollPolicy="off" to the TextArea seems to prevent the bug to happen. In my case, I don't need scrollbar, so this workaround is acceptable for me

I think you mean you have set a fixed height, right?

I think this is not a TLF bug. I will ask flex experts to take a look at this issue. You can also post this issue to related flex forum.
